MICHELLE HINKSON-COX

Holder of a Master of Arts from the University of London and former Cultural Officer – Theatre Arts at the National Cultural Foundation of Barbados, Michelle is the founder of Rhema A.C.T.S.  and is also the Coordinator for the Associate Degree Programme in Theatre Arts at the Barbados Community College. She serves as the President of the Caribbean Network of Art Presenters (CaribNet) and, over the last 20 years, has worked in the areas of technical theatre, arts education, event planning, arts administration and applied drama.  She is also a published researcher, actress, producer, director and playwright, with her work having a specific emphasis on reflecting and experimenting with the Caribbean form and aesthetic, while giving voice to otherwise marginalised individuals and groups in our society. Michelle is also a fellow of the London-based Royal Society for encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).

NALA

Nala, also known as The $2 Philosopher, is an acclaimed actor, coach, director, writer and stand-up comedian with more than 30 years of experience in his field. He is an accomplished practitioner who has taught and performed across the Caribbean, in Switzerland and Senegal. He is currently developing an indigenous acting methodology known as “Being Anasi”.
